BIG RED & BE BUDDHA HOLIDAY PARTY RECAP!

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Be Buddha Jewelry and Big Red Boutique are a match made in heaven. If you’re not familiar with our fateful meeting, quick friendship and girl boss-filled backstory, check out our first collab here.

Last weekend, in anticipation of the holiday season, I packed up my shop and headed to Chicago for a Saturday morning filled with mimosas, girl-talk and all things fashion. Erin and I set up shop in my sister Emma’s gorgeous SoNo apartment, whipped up some mimosas and prepared ourselves for an intimate shopping day.

One-of-a-kind treasures is something Erin and I have in common. Her pieces are not only stunning, but they’re crafted with precision and true flare. Each earring, ring, necklace and bracelet stands out as a piece of art. I really admire her for that.

Last weekend’s lot did not disappoint. My favorite piece from her lot? This stunning necklace below.

Not only did Erin complete the necklace just hours before the event, but like a true girl boss, she let me steal it right off her chest (It was a Christmas present from my brother, but that’s a whole other story). Her collection is filled with colorful tassel earrings, fierce metal bracelets and sewn robe and tassel-filled statement necklaces that turn heads.

For Big Red, I focused on statement winter coats and fall accessories. My favorite piece? A gorgeous wooden carved purse. It’s a rare moment in my shopping life when I come across a treasure that continues to surprise. Every time I look at it I find something new in its carvings. Byyyy the way, it’s coming to the Etsy shop soon!

In addition to those pieces, I brought some great winter pieces like vintage sweaters and a vintage blue fur coat fit for a queen. Can we talk about how gorgeous my sister looks modeling it?!

All in all, it was a wonderful day filled with lots of laughs and plenty of talk about future current milestones and future business plans. Women supporting women is a glorious thing. Let’s not take it for granted, shall we?
